Swap in the City Team are holding a Chelsea Summer Party – woop woop! Do you want to recycle your clothes, while having fun, being pampered and socialising with like-minded women? Then read on…

What is it?

Swap in the City (SITCUK) brings you a stylish, luxury, pampering swishing experience. You can bring your loved, but no longer wanted, good quality or designer clothes and swap it for another item that catches you eye. SITCUK are now introducing children’s clothes swap at their event, ladies can swap their clothing as well as their children’s at the same time. There will be beauty talk by Premae Skincare founder Lady Clare Eluke and wardrobe stylists will be in attendance giving complementary wardrobe consultations. You can enjoy a pampering facial, manicures and makeovers as well as fashion networking with like-minded women in a friendly vibrant surroundings. The best bit…by taking part you will be helping the environment and a charity cause!

Why do it?

Every year in the UK we buy about 2 million tonnes of clothes BUT we throw away about half of that each year, which is the equivalent of around twenty five million pounds a year! SITCUK can help you reduce the amount of waste that is created and your carbon footprint by swishing your perfectly wearable pre-loved, garments. Swishing is sustainable clothing at its best. SITCUK only allow good quality (slow fashion) which lasts long and wears well. SITCUK welcomes unwanted clothes which may have been bought and never worn, no longer can fit, bought for that special occasion never to be worn again.

The proceeds of the auction go to Caudwell Children, a charity that provides family support services, equipment, treatment and therapies for disabled and autistic children, across the UK.
