Iran | 2014 | col | dir. Mehdi Rahmani, with Roya Teymurian, Afshin Hashemi, Mohammad Reza Ghafari, Anahita Afshar | UK Premiere

Mehdi Rahmani’s Snow is about the travails of the Vaziri family. Once affluent, the Vaziris now find themselves poor and bankrupt. Their only daughter plans to marry and a suitor is soon discovered. Problems abound for the daughter when she finds that she must present her suitor to her family. Not embarrassing their daughter requires careful planning on the part of the Vaziris. They must hide their situation as destitute people in class- conscious times. With music by Babak Mirzakhani, Snow is Rahmani’s latest offering and was shown at the 32nd Fajr International Film Festival to critical acclaim.
