This month we not only will have our usual array of incredible music to tantalise your ears but your taste buds will also be tingling thanks to Mangia, Mangia. We are partnering up with the lovely people who usually supply us with pizza ingredients and they will be cooking you up an Italian feast. (apologies for the slight cheese of this write up, Oli is in a cheesy mood. Might change it later...might not)

As always, if it is nice weather we will be partying outside...cross those fingers!

Food:

Aperitivo - Cynar and orange juice

Cynar (pronounced chee-nar) is an Italian bitter that works brilliantly with orange juice, which started life as a digestivo, but which Italians are increasingly drinking as a preprandial. Agnieszka Mazurekde from more than a dozen herbs and spices including, rather unusually, artichoke leaves, it
has a smoky burnt-sugar earthiness that works brilliantly as a counterpart to the sweet citrus.

Antipasti – Starters

Sharing Platter
Platter showcasing high end selection of Sardinian Gluten and Lactose free Charcuterie as fennel and red wine cured sausage, organic Pecorino cheese and Sardinian bread seasoning with extra virgin olive oil and grated pecorino cheese

Main - Ravioli

Ricotta and zucchini ravioli in butter and mint sauce
Dessert

Sweet Salame & Gelato
Chocolate salami with almond and biscuits with a scoop of gelato

Drinks:
PIMMS FOR ALL! There will be lashings of pimms with soft fruits, ice and lemonade...mmmmm.
Homebrew - Not sure what this will be this month...might get inventive....
Our usual array of ales and wines
Fresh Fruit Juice - for all you drivers and sensible ones, we are now doing fresh juices!

Films: We are very excited to be showing the Academy Award winning film The Lady in Number 6.
109 year old, Alice Herz Sommer, the world's oldest pianist and Holocaust survivor shares her story on how to achieve a long and happy life. She discussed the importance of music, laughter and how to have an optimistic outlook on life.

Blessing your ears with their fine musical sounds this month will be:

TGYM, will be joining us for the first time this month, with a vibrant mixture of soul, r&b and rap. You can expect to see this bunch of talented youngsters at all Acoustic Sundays from now on!

Morris Folk Choir - Who knew that just off Shacklewell Road a secret society of folk music lovers gathered to sing their favourite tunes...well...now you do! And they will be singing for us in August!

Libby Desborough - We first heard Libby on a wet Thursday eve at Betty's open mic night. Trying to describe her voice is like trying to find Big Foot.

She & I - two sisters who got way more than their fair share with the talent genes. Incredible voices and beautiful songs. We are very excited to have these gals playing for us!

Mark Mathews Music - As soon as we heard the melody to Mark Mathews 'London Lives' we knew we had to have him. So...here he is! Check out his music and get ready to dance around your bedroom/office/shed!
