Jamie McCredie

Is a versatile guitarist who is equally adept performing either jazz or rock with unnerving ease and it’s easy to see why he was awarded BBC Radio's "guitarist of the year competition" at the age of 19. As one of the most vibrant younger players on the London scene he has collaborated with artists such as Mica Paris, Ed Drewett and Kid Creole & The Coconuts as well as performing with the internationally famous Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and London Jazz Orchestras. Recently he has also been increasingly active as an educator, presenting master classes for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the International Guitar Foundation, and many music schools throughout the UK. Jamie will be supported by three brilliant musicians this evening, Jim Watson on piano, Nick Breakspear on bass and Chris Draper on drums. Tonight's show will showcase the "jazzier" side of Jamie's extensive repertoire, combining improvisation of the highest level with accessible acoustic guitar playing. Jamie recently performed with this line up at one of our “showcase” gigs and we were all so impressed that I immediately offered him a night of his own. This promises to be a brilliant night from one of the UK's most talented guitarists so don't miss out!
