Benet McLean

Benet is a fine pianist whose powerful, driving piano playing has been heard with the likes of Kevin Haynes and Dennis Rollins’s Badbone & Co with whom he has toured and recorded. The music is primarily Benet’s excellent compositions, which are an intriguing mix of jazz, groove and hip hop as featured on his tremendous CDs “Cliches (For Another Day)” and his most recent album “In The Land of Oo-Bla-Dee”. A remarkable performer, playing hip hop one minute and stride piano the next, Benet is one of the very few musicians working on the international scene to have successfully fused diverse styles of jazz to create a unique and truly exhilarating gig. Also featured tonight will be one of the UK’s finest up-and-coming saxophonists Duncan Eagles.
