Violinist Sujin and pianist Jocelyn met at the Royal College of Music in 2012 and have been collaborating regularly ever since. Between them they have performed on four continents, having many international prizes and awards to their names, and as a duo they have performed around the UK in music clubs and recital series to high critical acclaim. Combining virtuosic mastery of their instruments with a deep love of chamber music, they bring excitement and flare to standard violin-piano duo repertoire through daring and unusual programmes.

The three works in this programme cover a range of styles, from the beautiful simplicity of the Schubert, through Britten’s imaginative, quirky and characterful Three Pieces from the Suite Op. 6 to the monumental and romantic Sonata by Cesar Frank. Despite the composition of these works spanning nearly 120 years, playful imitation between the two instruments is at the forefront of each, illustrating the timelessness and intimacy of this musical combination.

Classical Coffee Mornings give you the chance to listen to outstanding talent from the Royal College of Music at Sunday morning classical recitals in the Hall's Elgar Room. Tickets include a hot drink and a pastry.
