Nicholas Fox-Weber is the author of the first full-blown biography of Count Balthasar Klossowski de Rola, best known as Balthus, recently published by Dalkey Archive Press. Fox-Weber spent much time with the infamous painter in his chalet in Switzerland, and discovered a brilliant, manipulative, charming, megalomaniacal human being whom he will present in a 45-minute lecture.

Weber will discuss Balthus and his work, interweaving the human being and the paintings, the man and the controversy. He will then be taking questions and signing books, which will be available to purchase.

Please join us for an exploration of this fascinating figure and the unique opportunity to discuss Balthus with his biographer.

This event is free to attend, but please RSVP as space is limited.
