London is set to become a conversational metropolis on Talk to me Day, 30th August! The day will be a celebration of conversation, a day when it’s OK to say hello – to the bus driver, to the person standing behind you at the supermarket, to the neighbour you haven’t spoken to yet. On Talk to me Day, you can talk to the people you might otherwise pass by – and realise you could do so all the time.

How? The day will see events taking place across London to get people talking, including a public debate, open picnics in parks, a talking workshop in collaboration with the Old Vic, and taking over of a street in London to become a ‘Talk Street.’ Thousands of badges will be given out and everyone from cafés, restaurants and theatre groups will be taking part.
