Cycle to Work Day | London Bridge

Cycle to Work Day takes place for the second time on 4 September and is anticipated to be bigger and better than before with thousands of commuters across the capital getting involved. Pedal pushers passing through London Bridge can celebrate with a free brekkie as part of Britain’s Biggest Bike Breakfast.

Employees, employers and retailers of London prepare for the second annual Cycle to Work Day, in what is anticipated to be bigger and better than the first launch. Last year, tens of thousands of employees pledged to cycle a quarter of a million miles, with 12% of the employees being from London. Employers supporting the scheme will be offering their workforce who cycle free breakfast, and bike shops throughout the city will be giving the cycling commuters free bike checks.

On Your Bike, a popular bike shop in London Bridge, is enthusiastically supporting the day by opening at 7am to offer passersby on bikes free hot drinks and breakfasts to reward them for their efforts. On top of this they have brought in a bike mechanic expert, dubbed Dr Bike, to service bikes for free.

Londoners are encouraged to pledge their miles they intend to cycle.
