A fabulous Spiegeltent programme based out of a classic ‘Mirror Tent’ will arrive at Canary Wharf from 11 – 21 September with a packed schedule of eclectic activities and performances for both children and adults. With its sparkling interior and festival vibe, the tent provides a perfect setting for a programme of exciting events over ten days. Eye-popping acrobatics, a cabaret showcase and a Family Rave combine to create this truly original and diverse line-up, alongside comedy performances, creative workshops and insightful talks from well-known guests.

Choose from cabaret, music , literary talks, poetry, craft workshops, children’s theatre, comedy, silent disco and acrobatics!

The opening night, Cabaret Concoction, presents some amazing acts from The London Dance Project to Michele Drees Tap Project plus Abigail Collins and The Sugar Sisters – all compered by the delectable Tricity Vogue. The ten days of Spiegeltent entertainment features talks from the likes of Henry Blofeld, cartoonists Peter Brookes & Martin Rowson, literary editor and poet Blake Morrison, journalist Suzi Feay plus Shami Chakrabati discussing her new book.

A superb Pop Up Poetry night with six up-and-coming poets from Goldsmith’s College plus American poet John Sinclair and The Founder Effect perform poetry and music from his new CD ‘Mohawk’. Comedy make an appearance in the form of Alex Horne and his Horne Section performing their musical melody of comedy treats and Lee Hurst‘s ‘Things that make you go Aaargghh!’

Aircraft Circus present a special circus show ‘Twilight Circus’ with risqué and incredible acrobatics on aerial nets and chains, high-flying silks and hoops. Silent Arena quietly bring their Silent Disco on 19 September and intimate music concerts from Krystal Warren, Gwyneth Herbet and Fiona Bevan are not to be missed. Art & Crafts feature with workshops from Atelier le Flamboyant and Handmadehen plus Makeandoo for all the family plus and children’s theatre from Ripstock Theatre Company.
