Laugh Out London comedy club returns to the Camden Head in Camden after a summer break with a very special Alternative Pick of the Fringe show.

We’ve chosen four of the most interesting and experimental acts with shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this year and brought them together in one awesome bill of weird and wonderful comedy.

Line-up:

LUKE MCQUEEN

Luke won huge acclaim during the Fringe for a very special show that Chortle says “brings to mind Johnny Vegas as his self-loathing best”. Luke has also become renowned for his comedy stunts, including disappointing lots of Frankie Boyle fans and his brave attempt to perform a gig during a World Cup match. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6dZvmag8Ogg

“in the vanguard of the new alternative comedians doing intrepid and interesting things with the artform” **** – Chortle

“an electric, challenging, and unique performance” ***** – Broadway Baby

“The show starts with McQueen near-naked and catatonic under a black sheet” – The Guardian

LOU SANDERS

A long-standing favourite in the comedy world 2014 was something of a breakout year for Lou with an imaginative late night show that was funny, sexy and silly all at once.

“Once you’ve had a few bites from her bowl of mixed nuts you’ll acquire a taste for her deliciously silly stand-up” **** – TimeOut

“An hour of non-stop entertainment with seriously big laughs, wild and free and very, very funny” **** – Chortle

BEN TARGET

2014 was a year to experiment for Ben who received a Best Newcomer nomination two years ago for his breakthough show of magic surrealism and invention. He’s now discussing more personal aspects of his life. And getting people to bake an imaginary cake. it’s all great.

Best Newcomer nominee at the Edinburgh Fringe 2012

“In a festival where unique events are apparently celebrated but actually too few and far between amid a sea of utter predictability, Ben Target is a breath of fresh, daft air.” – The List

ALI BRICE

Ali found his forte this year with an inspired hour of character comedy lead by Eric Meat – a loud and lonely man who liked talking to candles. Like Vic and Bob but noisier.

“one of those joyously bonkers festival treats that any comedy-lover should be delighted to stumble upon” **** – Chortle

MC – JOZ NORRIS

Joz also proved a hit at the Fringe this year in a show that showed exactly the damage that the false world of Richard Curtis films can do to an impressionable mind.

“He is a born entertainer, but also a great comedy writer” **** – Chortle

“a potentially massive future comedy star” – The Herald
