Join our fun guided sponsored walk on Saturday, 11th October (11.30am-4pm) through London's history to celebrate World Mental Health Day and raise much needed funds for mental health charity CoolTan Arts.

We will set off from the Maudsley Hospital, Denmark Hill, and follow a 4.8 mile route through little known parts of Southwark, exploring green spaces, hidden squares and historic landmarks, and enjoying talks, art and performances along the way.

This years walk theme is ‘Innovation & Transformation’ - in medicine, technology, arts and psychology, and will look at how WW1 affected society.

The walk aims to raise at least £10,000 which would benefit CoolTan's participants in many ways. Due to severe cuts to mental health funding, CoolTan Arts really need your help to ensure we can continue our work.

Last year we worked with nearly 2000 people, providing award winning workshops, a self advocacy programme which helps people to stand up for their rights, stigma busting public walks and a volunteering and training programme. More than 80% of our participants say that CoolTan helps them stay well and out of hospital.

Once you are registered, you can use our Sponsorship Form to collect donations.

The walk is suitable for wheelchair users and welcomes absolutely everyone to participate.
