From Friday 12 to Sunday 28 September London will be host to an array of events, pop ups and special menus celebrating the ultra-local produce being grown, produced and cooked on London's doorstep.

Cafes, restaurants and retailers will connect with London edible gardens and small producers, to showcase the best produce on offer in the Capital with special menus, one off events and supper clubs. Urban growers will showcase their gardens with harvest feasts, pop up dinners, botanical cocktail nights and foraging walks.

Urban Food Fortnight is a chance for

- Londoners to find their local edible gardens and the best local food on offer

- Urban gardens and artisan London producers to showcase their produce

- Restaurants to create one-off dishes using ultra-local food

Expect botanical gin cocktails from Sipsmiths & Growing Kulturs’ collaboration in West London, feasts in poly-tunnels in Kings Cross, rooftop honey and menus with Tottenham made cheese, Stratford sourced fish, Enfield reared lamb plus much more.
There will also be an Edible Open Garden Day on Saturday 20 September, with over 50 of London’s hidden edible gardens opening their garden gates to the public.

This event is organised by Capital Growth, London’s urban food growing network, who have helped over 2000 gardens since 2008 and are running the third urban food fortnight to help their members to get enterprising. This year we are also working with Urban Food Routes project to promote London sourced honey, charcuterie, fish and cheese to highlight the full variety of produce available from the city.
