Recently re-discovered photographs by the Victorian eccentric, inventor and proto-surrealist, Samuel Heracles Gascoigne-Simpson. Eccentric characters, map cap inventions, oddball tableaux, nudes and nadgering (both disciplines) were all captured by this 19th century photographic pioneer.
