Whale Week

From 13 – 21 September guests to SEA LIFE London Aquarium can celebrate Whale Week with lots of exciting ways to learn more about these magnificent creatures AND the chance to made a real difference to their ongoing survival.

Visitors can enter the ‘Guess the Tail of the Whale’ competition, matching up whale tails to the correct species for the chance to win a Snorkelling with Sharks experience worth ￡125. Kids can join in the daily ‘Whale Workshops’ where they can get creative with special craft activities and learn fun facts through whale-themed games. PLUS - there will be special whale talks each day throughout the attraction – with the ‘Whale Squad’ roaming the attraction wearing hats of their favourite whales, armed with fascinating facts to teach guests.

Visitors to the South Bank attraction will have the opportunity to help end whaling this year as the attraction joins SEA LIFE Centres worldwide in a major new marine conservation campaign. Spearheaded by The SEA LIFE Trust and WDC (Whale and Dolphin Conservation), the campaign aims to stop the trafficking of whale products. As well as asking the public to sign a petition, the charity is also urging them to "wail for whales" - filming their best impersonations of whale songs and uploading them online to raise awareness of the plight of these animals.

Guests to the attraction can visit a special conservation area throughout the summer with interactive content highlighting the issue including immediate sign up to the petition by iPad. PLUS there is an entire marine world to explore including rare giant Green Sea turtles, tropical fish, rays, crabs and jellyfish – and for the intrepid, a special VIP experiences like VIP Shark Feed, VIP Turtle Feed and Snorkelling with Sharks.
