Voxbox Beginners' Singing Workshop

There are a lot of fun singing courses out there... The Voxbox Beginners' Workshop is expertly designed to not only give you a lot of fun singing, but to show you how your voice works and train you in the basics of correct singing.

Our Part A Beginners' Workshop is tailored for beginners with absolutely no experience through to those who have had some basic vocal training. This fun and exciting 1 day workshop will lay the foundation for your future vocal development and introduce you to the science of singing.

Using various genres of music, you will learn practical exercises that will strengthen your voice and enable you to gain the flexibility to sing with control and confidence. All this in a relaxed environment of like minded people so you'll be gaining experience, but more importantly having fun.

Subjects covered include:

* Understanding how the voice works
* Breath control
* Ear training
* Improving pitch
* How to sing high notes - extending your range
* How to learn melodies
* Introduction to solo singing

As part of the workshop you will take away with you informative handouts and a CD of vocal exercises so that you can carry on your development at home.

Because this workshop is aimed at people of a similar skill level, there is no need to be shy; we focus mainly on singing as a group. It's about practicing and enjoying singing together so why not bring a friend?

Once you've mastered these basic skills you will have the opportunity to progress on to Part B where you can focus more on specific genres and continue to refine technique.

The course is designed and run by two of London's leading experts in singing voice development, Voxbox Directors Lucy Phillips and Leon Berrangé.
