A Night of Desire

The recently reopened nightclub Cirque le Soir is set to host an unusual interactive party this September, where party goers will be encouraged to play out their digital dating habits in a real time scenario.

On 18th September, 500 University students will be introduced to an unusual interactive party experience, thanks to HTC and Verge Magazine.

Whilst being astonished by Cirque le Soir's bizarre and extraordinary circus acts, the guests will enter the party in two separate rooms where they will be invited to take selfies using the fantastic camera on the HTC Desire handsets. The photos will be linked to a main screen in each room, with the photos of the inhabitants of the rooms being displayed in sequence. Guests can then choose to either stay in the room they’re in, or move to the other room based on how attractive they think the people in each room are; turning the swipe right or swipe left aspects of mobile dating apps into an actual reality.

This is the first party of its kind, combining the age-old thrill of travelling circus acts with the modern thrill of digital dating. Based on the popularity of both mobile dating apps and the unconventional draw of the Cirque le Soir, it is certain to intrigue many, and could really catch on.

The event, being held by HTC and Verge magazine, will promote HTC’s Desire range of handsets.
