The New Adventures Choreography Award was established in celebration of Matthew Bourne’s 50th birthday, and also to honour the work of his company New Adventures. The award, which is judged by Matthew Bourne and a distinguished panel, has established itself as one of the sectors most hotly sought after platforms for new choreographic talent and is a must-see for anyone who cares about the future of dance.

The 2014 winner of the NACA Showcase Award, John Ross Dance, presents an evening’s programme of three eclectic works including two world premieres.

Eclipse (World Premiere)
A solar eclipse according to Chinese myth, was caused by a creature eating the sun.

Wolfpack
Saturday night out with the lads… boys will be boys!

Little Sheep (World Premiere)
Like a stone thrown across the water, the effect of a single action can trigger a ripple effect of unexpected proportions.

"John Ross is a choreographer with something to say… and he says it with devilish humour, style and emotional punch." Matthew Bourne, Artistic Director, New Adventures.
