The Dylan Thomas in Fitzrovia Literary Festival will host over 30 events across Fitzrovia, a hub for artistic and literary London and Dylan Thomas’ favourite stomping ground when he was in England.

The Writing Shed Odyssey

20th - 26th October

South Crescent, Store Street

Step inside Dylan Thomas’s Writing Shed, where Dylan wrote, ate boiled sweets, and read murder mysteries. The interior of the great poet’s workplace will be recreated down to the smallest details.

A Waring Absence

25th October

The Welsh Chapel East Street

After its première at the Olivier Theatre, the festival’s collaboration with the National Theatre transfers to the Welsh Chapel. With Daniel Evans and Sian Thomas, and accompanied live by the Bernard Kane Players.

Dylan Thomas In Fitzrovia Walks

25th & 26th October

A series of specially devised walks take audiences on an excursion through Dylan’s Fitzrovia, with live interaction, performance, food and drink.

Hannah Ellis, Dylan’s grand-daughter, and his most recent biographer Hilly Janes discuss Dylan’s relationships with women, their influence on him, and his on them.

Beveridge Hall, Senate House

Gala Concert At The Queen Elizabeth Hall

October 26th

Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank Centre

A very special gala concert to conclude the festival, at the Southbank’s Queen Elizabeth Hall. Featuring the orchestra of Camerata Wales, conducted by Owain Arwel-Hughes, and special guests including Tom Hollander, Alex Jennings, Sian Phillips, Jonathan Pryce and Griff Rhys Jones.
