Featuring images taken during travel in Myanmar, Southeast Asia, this photography collection by Maxine Bulloch explores the people and landscapes that make up the beautiful country.
Despite its poverty and delicate political situation, the people of Myanmar are overwhelmingly friendly, kind, and ready to welcome everyone with a warm smile. Buddhism is a big part of everyday life; this is a country where golden pagodas stretch as far as the eye can see, and where nuns and monks are treated with utmost respect. This exhibition presents bold and eye-catching scenes from across the country, where everyday life is made up of traditional basket weaving, working with buffalos in the paddy field, thanakha beauty paste and travelling by horse and cart.
