The Mynd Set presents Dreams, Scheme's And Lazerbeams the long awaited, eagerly anticipated debut long player launch party. With support from the much acclaimed The Fallen Leaves.

Join us for a night of grooviness to celebrate this monumentous occasion with Ian and AB MIX 'A' FIX DJ's keeping ya dancing feet moving and 2 top acts t.b.c to blow ya mynd and of course the album performed in its entirety for the first time.

Aptly enough for a band of such raw, raucous energy, they were formed in Stevenage, a town which thirty-five years previously had earned a dedication on The Who's Quadrophenia. Rising from the ashes of The Petty Hoodlums, a band that had earned infamy for their enthusiastic covers of beat classics, inadvertently inventing their own unique Heavy Mod genre, they continue to offer unmatched power and excitement, but this time the likes of Steve Marriott and Pete Townshend are relegated from composer to influence as the burgeoning compositional genius of axe-wielding scallywag Leon Hewitt and organist Parsley The Lion (he of Dutronc and The Solar Flares fame) instead becomes the focus of their act.

But that's not to say anything is lost, in fact quite the opposite. Whereas The Petty Hoodlums were notably successful in bringing the Mod sound up-to-date, The Mynd Set go one step further, with the eclectic Hewitt merging the best of the 1960s and the present day into one giant ball of danceable fuzz rock, complimented to perfection by the world's coolest bassist Glyn Tomlinson, the near-effortless drum masterclass of Chris Punter, as well as the sheer vocal powerhouses of Glyn Tomlinson and the one and only Parsley. The raw and energetic sound that sums up the attitude and style of one of the best new bands on the scene.
