Photographic exhibition: Steve McCurry

“People & Places” is the latest exhibition from one of the world's most celebrated photographers, Steve McCurry.

People & Places uncovers the creative minds of these people and investigates what makes the South Bank’s district so unique. London’s South Bank has come to be recognised as the cultural hub of the city, playing host to national art institutions and some of the best artisan food producers from across the country. Less well known is the large network of individual artists, designers and makers that live and work in the area of the South Bank.

While McCurry is best known for his portraits, such as the ‘Afghan Girl’, his portfolio spans conflicts, vanishing cultures and ancient traditions. His unique ability to unearth and reveal the true character of an individual or area is translated beautifully in this site-specific project.
