The Ultimate All Day Dj Festival!

The greatest DJs from across the globe representing twenty six countries, from Indonesia to India, Brazil to Bosnia, the Philippines to Portugal will be furiously mixing, cutting and scratching in a bid to win the ultimate prizes. The titles of Battle For World Supremacy Champion, World Team Championship and World DJ Champion are up for grabs, as well as a coveted custom made, one off gold Rane mixer and Pioneer Turntables.

The event will feature a very special performance from Japan's DJ Kentaro who as 2002's World Champion is himself no stranger to DMC glory, in what promises to be a dizzying display of stunning turntable techniques. Also, following their successful introduction, the event's popular, family friendly daytime workshops return.

Doors open at 2pm starting with the DMC World DJ Eliminations, then from 3pm join one of the three workshops to learn popping and locking street dance moves, the art of beatboxing with the UK's Beatbox Collective, and the fundamentals of DJing with DMC champions.

Started in 1985, the DMC DJ Championships have become the definitive competition and number one target for thousands of DJs worldwide. The World Final sees competitors flown in from over all corners of the world at DMC's expense to compete for what are, in DJing terms, the ultimate accolades. Throughout it's 29 year history, the DMCs have helped launch the careers of several notable winners, including: A Trak (the youngest ever winner at 15 who went on to be Kanye West's DJ), DJ Cheese (inventor of scratching), Roc Raida (DJ for Busta Rhymes), Hudson Mohawke (Warp Records) and Mix Master Mike (Beastie Boys).
