Chaos Theory is delighted to bring you a night of mindblowing math and post rock from around the UK, ith a lineup of bands who've dropped all of our jaws at Dunk!festival and ArcTanGent in the last year.

--------------------
Alright The Captain

Masterfully combining virtuosic instrumentalism with unabashed musical experimentation, Derby-based trio ATC have effortlessly established themselves as a sonic force to be reckoned with, thanks to their increasingly inimitable, uniquely imaginative brand of math-rock. Their sprawling and varied career has seen them sharing stages with post-rock luminaries including Mono, toe, 65daysofstatic, Pelican, Tera Melos, ASIWYFA, Maybeshewill, Adebisi Shank, This Will Destroy You, ZU, Holy Fuck and many more.

We've recently see

"Although there are a lot of bands around at the moment making Math-Rock, there aren’t many who are doing it like this." - The 405

--------------------
Bear Makes Ninja

Pacey and dramatic but delicate math rock from this Lincolnshire trio. They are label-mates with Shrine, both being signed to Mountains of Records, and have supported Tall Ships, Tubelord, Axis Of, Hold Your Horse Is, United Fruit, Talons, Alright The Captain, Illness, Wot Gorilla? and toured the UK with Former Monarchs. They absolutely blew everyone away at ArcTanGent Festival this year, while drummer Karina Lawrence played S Is For Salamander with And So I Watch You From Afar at their headline show at ArcTanGent in 2013.

"The bar for song-writing here is set so high that even godzilla could limbo it." - Musical Mathematics

"Genuine contenders in the British underground scene... it's hard not to fall under their spell... they are crazy good." - One Beat

--------------------
UpCDownC

A brilliant instrumental band creating quirky but heavy riff-led post-rock with the help of Moog synths. Technically pristine but deliriously energetic and fun to watch, this rock 4-piece have toured Europe and supported Ufomammut, sleepmakeswaves and Tides From Nebula to name a few, all to hugely appreciative audiences.

They are releasing a small download EP around October which will coincide with the release of their video for Black Sea album track 'The Black Sea'. The EP will also feature a brand new unreleased track from their forthcoming soundtrack album 'Faster than Evil', recorded live using only analogue synths and samplers whilst completely disregarding their usual formula of mainly guitars and live drums.

"One of the best music experiences you can have." - Echoes And Dust
