Emily Capell

Emily Capell tells blues inflected, indiepop tales of life's frustrations and elations. Whether she's railing against the wrongs of the world, getting a little frisky or inventing a new dance craze, Emily will pull you in and spin you round so quickly you'll wonder why you ever bothered with dull generic boys with guitars.

She’s been endorsed by Daisy Rock Guitars, gigged solo at The 100 Club & Proud Camden, appeared at Standon Calling in summer 2013.

With her band, The Three Petes Sweet she released an EP at the beginning of 2014 which gained airplay on Amazing Radio as well as countless local broadcasters across the Uk. The EP gained further exposure when cassette label Post/Pop released two of the tracks as a highly collectable cassingle, solely available through Rough Trade. Her current acoustic single Who Killed Smiley Culture / Plastic is available on Blang Records

Recently, Sounds XP described Emily as ‘…probably the artist that Lily Allen wishes she was; alternative, witty, current and fresh’.

London Fields Radio said she made, ‘Amazing intelligent pop’

the UncoverA&Rt Blog said, 'Funny but fierce, an incredible guitarist with insane song writing skills and a beautiful voice to top it all off, '.
