Once a year the Devil comes to Earth to throw a ball of the most Satanic splendour. His guest list is to die for (literally), comprising all the denizens of Hell – cut-throats, poisoners, procuresses, gallows-birds, traitors, heretics and oath-breakers.

And finally, in the darkest hour before the dawn, join the dervishes of the dance floor to the beats of the Kitsune's ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK.

Consorting, cavorting and contorting on trapeze, harness and rings, they plunge like their demonic master in his Fall, from the highest of highs to the lowest depths and defy the death that is all around them.

Dive deep down into Davy Jones's Locker where lies the foundered and be-barnacled hulk of the SS Lusatian. Here the drowned sailors will spin poetic yarns of voyages extraordinaires - shanghais, krakens and shipwrecks - and the eerie events that led to their own fateful demise. The spectre of Captain Omen himself will man the decks, DJing shanties, hornpipes and whaling tales. But beware the creatures of the deep - narwhals, selkies and cephalopods - who may invade the drowned dance floor and lock you in their viscous embrace.

AT THE CANTINA DEL INFIERNO
Notorious performance collective Shotgun Carousel return to the Arches with their most provocative back-alley world: an homage to the "Titty Twister", the infamous Mexican biker bar from Robert Rodriguez's vampire flick 'From Dusk Till Dawn'. Come be seduced and defiled at this end-of-the-line drinking hole, as the tequila flows and table-top dance-floors are overturned. The regulars are restless, everyone's looking for a fight and when the show starts you know it's going to get wild.

But keep your eye on the time and beware of the barman when he calls for a lock-in: things get a little weird after sundown...
