About Speed Dating
Speed dating evenings are a great way to meet many potential dates in one evening. The main thing is to have fun! Make news friends and maybe find The One.
Format:
When you arrive please register to the event with your Pop Up Speeddating host who will give you a scorecard, a name badge and a pen, then invite you to have a drink at the bar. Once everyone has arrived your host will explain how speed dating works and answer any questions.
When speeddating begins, you and your first date you have 4 minutes to chat. When time is up, with the ringing of a bell, men move to the next seat to the left and women remain in position. You have another four minutes to chat to the next person. This continues until you have met everyone, sitting opposite. Use this scoresheet to remind yourself about your dates. Use the rating system if you wish. At the end, list 1-3 people that you would like to meet again at the bottom of the sheet then hand it to your host. If there is a match, where 2 people indicate they would like to meet again, you will be informed within 48 hours. If you forget to hand in your scoresheet, please email us with 48 hours.
Guests are then be invited to stay and mingle at the bar until closing.
Schedule:
Doors open 6.00pm for Happy Hour Social and registration for speed dating starts at 7.30pm.
Activities start: 8.00pm prompt. The event takes place in a private area, you will be directed upon arrival.
Speed dating finishes at approximately 10.00pm.
