Anúna's unique performance style and ethereal, haunting music created specifically for them by their composer director Michael McGlynn has garnered widespread international acclaim. This renowned choral ensemble presents an enchanting programme infused with the colours of Medieval and Renaissance song, contemporary vocal techniques and the resonant soundscapes of Ireland - the hallmark of this distinctive vocal ensemble that has brought a unique vision around the world in the last quarter century, from the BBC Proms through to their essential contribution to the original Riverdance.
The London A Cappella Festival is the first of its kind in the capital dedicated to the many forms of a cappella (meaning unaccompanied/just using the voice). Curated by the world-famous 5-time Grammy-wining vocal group the Swingle Singers and Ikon Arts Management, its main aim is to broaden the appeal of a cappella performance to as many different kinds of audiences across the capital and beyond, through concerts, free performances, and educational work, all under one roof.
