‘Orphans’ is the latest attempt to form an understanding of this richly poetic space in West London. Using archive photographs taken between 1969 and 1971 (just at the time the Westway motorway was being built and opening) ‘Orphans’ presents old men, young women, local kids, market traders, shoppers on Portobello Road and children playing on makeshift adventure playground structures.

Lead by local documentary photographer Steve Mepstead and in partnership with Acklam Village and Westway Trust, this photographic installation is a true showcase of arts and culture in a changing space and will narrate the story of change underneath the Westway.

The night will be accompanied by live music and guest speakers Tom Vague and Adam Richie.
