Erskine, Hall & Coe is delighted to host a solo exhibition of ceramics and works on paper by acclaimed Catalan artist, Claudi Casanovas. The show will be open from the 1st through the 23rd of October 2014.

We are presenting five pairs of ceramic sculptures, totalling ten pieces in Casanovas’s ‘Quart Creixent’ exhibition. Each pair of works in the ‘Quart Creixent,’ or crescent moon group have a unique name which refers to organic and eternal growth and the Myth of Dionysus: Ovar, relating to ovaries, Bacant, referring to Bacchus (Dionysus), Verduc, to plant growth, Broll, to the youngest part of a plant, and Broton, relating to plant buds.

All of these sculptures are of Casanovas’s newest work and are paired with ten recent drawings.

The exhibition will be fully illustrated on our website on the day it opens and will be viewable from Monday through Saturday, 10:00 - 18:00 and free to attend.
