Severndroog Recital Series: Laura Beardsmore, Flute

The first in our new daytime recital series at Severndroog is a solo flute recital from the talented young musician Laura Beardsmore. The programme will include pieces by CPE Bach, Anton Stamitz and Johann Joaquim Quantz and will reflect the era and very intimate setting of the exquisitely restored Lady James Room on the first floor of Severndroog Castle.

This will be the first chance to attend a concert in the Lady James Room since the reopening of Severndroog Castle in a July 2014 and is a fundraising event for the Severndroog Castle Preservation Trust. Tickets include full admission to the Castle and Viewing Platform, with stunning views across London and the Home Counties. Access to the Lady James Room (first floor) and the rest of the Castle is via spiral staircase; there is no lift access.

Laura Beardsmore holds an MMus (Distinction) in Flute Performance from Royal Hollaway University of London and performs internationally. For the Diamond Jubilee, she performed for HM The Queen, premiering a new work commissioned by the Royal Chapel, Windsor.
