Wilton's is collaborating with local community groups and organisations, including The Museum of London Docklands, Wapping History Trust and the Thames River Police to bring you a full weekend of activities and attractions on the theme of Wilton’s & the River.

This year marks the 125th anniversary of the London Dock Strike and to mark the occasion we will have exhibitions, stalls, walks and talks, films, song and dance, dramatisations and re-enactments as well as plenty of food and drink stalls to keep you fuelled.

This event is part of our Wilton’s Saved, Revealed and Alive project, supported by Heritage Lottery Fund and is the perfect opportunity to explore the rich and fascinating world, past and present, of the Thames, London’s docks and the people who have lived and worked here, as well as to learn about Wilton’s role in the Capital’s maritime history.

Saturday 11th October:
9am – 3pm Locks, Docks & One Smoking Ferry (OFF SITE)

10am – 1pm Open House, Stalls and Activities
Come along and add a stitch to our river embroidery with Stitches in Time, make artwork with Museum of London Docklands, play with Musicjelly’s ingenious interactive music mixing machine, help the Wapping Crafters to knit the river, get your face painted, join a family treasure hunt and leave a memory at our history booth – and that’s just for starters!
