Although best known for his distinctly provocative film scores, that reflect musical influences from around the globe, composer and producer, Simon Boswell has always explored the subtext between cultures, music, film and imagery. His most seriously ambitious project over the past 12 years is Blink a multimedia installation that uses moving images of world leaders, celebrities and actors, amongst other iconic figures, yet has quixotically featured them in slow motion; moments where they eyes are closing – thereby framing them in a highly ambiguous light on the screen. He will come to discuss his latest version of the project was screened on the exterior wall of the Hong Kong Convention Centre,(2012) showing additional footage of archival interviews with martial arts actor Bruce Lee who has long held a fascination for Boswell.
