On Thursday 16th October, more than 300 props from some of cinema’s most loved movies will be up for grabs at an exclusive auction, which we have organised in conjunction with Prop Store.
Set to be held at Vue Westfield in London, a whole catalogue of memorabilia with a total worth of over £1 million will go under the hammer at this unique event.
For a cool 15k, 80s film enthusiasts will be in with a chance of bagging Marty McFly’s trademark hoverboard, which featured in the second installment of Back to the Future around a quarter of a century ago!
Valued at around £40-£60k, Captain Nemo’s Nautilis car from A League of Extraordinary Gentleman will also feature, as well as Scaramanga’s short sleeved shirt from James Bond: The Man with the Golden Gun, with a price tag of around £5k-7k. As if all that’s not enough, attendees will also have the chance to get their hands on Willy Wonka’s golden ticket, which is anticipated to be snapped up for a whopping £15-£20k.
But don’t worry if your purse strings won’t quite stretch that far. Tipped to go for £80, a jacket belonging to a film crew member who worked on the set of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace is just one of many more affordable props that will be auctioned off at this unmissable event.
For those who would like to get a glimpse of these highly sought after items in advance of the auction, an exhibition will open to the public between the 1st and 16th of October at Vue Westfield. Entrance is free of charge.
