This year to mark LCW Mr Fogg’s has decided to turn their classic, Victorian Tipsy Tea offering on its head, with the introduction of a new ‘bottomless’ tea serve. The bottomless tea will give guests the opportunity to re-fill their alcohol filled tea pots as many times as they drain them, within their two hour booking. Bottomless tea will launch on SUNDAY 12th October, when guests will be able to enjoy a one of preview of the serve for the special LCW price of just £60, (instead of the normal £70).

Anna Maria Russell, the seventh Duchess of Bedford is credited with inventing afternoon tea in 1841, when she started drinking tea and eating a light snack to bridge the long gap between meals. Now, the Duchess and Mr Fogg have teamed up to cordially invite guests to partake in what was truly the height of fashion in Victorian times and remains as equally popular today.

Hosted by the Duchess herself, who may even pour the tea tipples as etiquette dictates, guests can enjoy a delicate array of dainty sandwiches, cakes, pastries and petiits-fours. Beautifully presented on traditional three-tiered stands and served on embossed fine bone china, delights will include; cucumber, coronation chicken, smoked salmon, and cheese and ham sandwiches, Victoria sponge, lemon drizzle cake, meringue tarts, macaroons, marzipan and glacé fruits.

An innovative range of tea-infused cocktails served in teapots will offer a novel twist on this quintessentially English pasttime. Refreshing libations will include; 1840; a zingy blend of Earl Grey-infused Tanqueray No. TEN Gin, Cointreau, crème de pêche and orange marmalade, and Woburn Abbey, a refreshing mix of English breakfast tea-infused Tanqueray No. TEN with crème de bergamot, lemon juice and bee pollen sugar.

For those who prefer an indulgent champagne cocktail with their tea, sample the Anna Maria Russell, made with Tatratea liqueur, sloe gin, lemon bitters, and topped with Ruinart Champagne or Belvoir Castle, a light concoction of Tanqueray No. TEN-infused jasmine tea with rose liqueur, pomegranate juice, cherry purée topped with Ruinart Champagne and a mist of Harry Brompton’s Iced tea.

Notes to Editors - December Tipsy Tea will be served on Fridays as well as Saturdays prior to Christmas week, (Saturday only again from first week January). Prices for December will be £40 for the standard Tipsy Tea and £90 for the bottomless tea option.

For those that like the hard stuff...Mr Fogg's will also be celebrating LCW by partnreing with the iconic French liqueur Cointreau to launch their new Cointreau Noir – a unique blend of Cointreau and Rémy Martin cognac – for one night only, from 4pm to 6pm on Thursday 9th October 2014
