Internatonal animal welfare charity FOUR PAWS is delighted to announce that from 27th October through to 1st November 2014, we will be holding a unique and powerful photographic exhibition ‘Stray Dogs in Focus’ in the iconic Menier Gallery in London.

Showcasing a collection of photographs by renowned animal photographer Jo Sax, the exhibition reveals the challenges faced by stray and abandoned dogs across the UK, as well as providing an insight into the life of strays in Romania.

The exhibition will also highlight the positive adoption stories which can transform the dogs’ lives, and features well-known celebrities photographed with their beloved rescue dogs.

Among the stars who feature in the exhibition is distinguished actress Amanda Abbington, famous for her roles in Sherlock and Mr Selfridge. Actor and renowned dog lover Peter Egan appears alongside two of his six rescue dogs.

Actress Julie Hesmondhalgh, who up until recently played Coronation Street’s Hayley Cropper, had her portrait taken fresh off the back of her awards haul at this year’s Soap Awards.

Other celebrities that appear alongside their rescue dogs include author Jilly Cooper OBE, actors Stephen Mackintosh and Jason Watkins, former EastEnders star Heather Chasen, and life long animal lover Lady Annabel Goldsmith, as well as photographer and director Rankin, who is photographed with his model wife Tuuli and their five rescue dogs.
