Chickenshed Kensington & Chelsea’s JOURNEY FROM THE EAST

Presented as part of Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea’s Nour Festival of Arts.

An amazing epic adventure from East to West, uncovering Middle Eastern and North African instruments from the collection at the RCM Museum of Music. Join us on this journey of discovery as you’ll follow these instruments from the hands of their makers in Asia and Africa, across Europe, and eventually landing in London! You’ll encounter different cultures along the way and be inspired to create your own new music, theatre, and dance. Working with professional leaders from the Royal College of Music and Chickenshed Kensington and Chelsea, and supported by talented young musicians from the RCM, your ideas will come together at the end of the day for a fun and informal performance.
