A-side B-side Gallery is pleased to present, ‘All The Fun of The Fair’ an exhibition by Carousel.

Featuring some of London's most exciting and experimental young artists, an intimate new exhibition at Hackney's A-side B-side Gallery will offer a unique opportunity to see work by artists living and working in the capital. Curated by Carousel, a social enterprise promoting gender equality in the arts, 'All The Fun of The Fair' explores the macabre side of the fairground during the biggest contemporary carnival in London's art calendar - Frieze 2014.

Eleven artists, including recent graduates from Chelsea College of Art and Design, will present installations, audio, drawings, photography and print in an unadulterated examination of the circus, from freak-shows to the occult. Works include Play by recent Young Masters Art Prize nominee Bex Massey, a piece inspired by the fairytale The Three Little Pigs; George Myer's untitled installation of helium balloons and phantasmagoric floating objects and Caroline Derveaux-Berté's Dice depicting childhood nightmares.

'This show will give visitors the opportunity to see some of the incredible work being produced by young artists in London today', says Jenna Mason, Director of Carousel and curator of All The Fun Of The Fair. 'Carousel's mission is to address the gender disparity in the arts, and when I read in 2012 that only 27% of the artists exhibiting at Frieze were women, I set my sights on devising a show which would showcase the next generation of artists in a more equal way.'
