about the teacher:

Helena is from são paulo, brazil and moved to london in 1998 to study for a ba and msc and began a professional career training and building the capacity of communities in housing projects across the uk.

She started practising iyengar yoga in 1999 and trained under the uk’s most senior iyengar teacher. After years of swimming regularly without adequate stretching, helena found that despite being challenged by the yoga classes, she was rewarded with renewed vitality and clarity of mind. She believes yoga should be accessible to all. Her classes provide a supportive environment so students can experience the multiple benefits of the work and progress safely in their practice.
