Mr. Brainwash will be exhibiting his unmistakable sculptures and paintings to the capital once again, reuniting the artist with his London fan base. Following his hugely successful 2012 London show, the exhibition includes iconic and never before displayed sculptures and paintings in the hotel’s inimitable lobby. As part of a collaboration with Wedgewood, Mr. Brainwash created two horse sculptures from thousands of pieces of the classic china, now being exhibited for the first time as part of Frieze London at Sanderson. Alongside these horses will be his iconic UK Can Flag sculpture made from 1,233 empty spray cans, and the Never Never Give Up canvas will be shown as part of this exclusive exhibition.

Mr. Brainwash is the moniker of filmmaker and Street Pop artist Thierry Guetta, born in France and based in Los Angeles. Mr. Brainwash has been pushing pop culture’s envelope for almost a decade, bringing his art to the street, the gallery, and onscreen. His artwork is a pure sensory experience and like so many of the subjects depicted in Mr. Brainwash’s art, his works are timeless, reflecting human aspirations and the voice that screams, “Follow Your Dreams”.

London based artist, Dannielle Hodson, known for her distinct take on transformations and alternate realities, will take the sought after position of ‘Artist in Residence’ producing a live installation across Sanderson’s façade. Hodson has partnered with the initiative A Space For Art, that brings art from the museums to real world settings, and will produce one of her signature ‘doodles’, live for the public to see, as it organically grows across the hotel’s windows throughout Frieze.

As the hotel embraces all things Frieze, Hodson’s fine art T-shirt brand Maison Twenty, designed to display the work of artists such as Andrew Salgado and VJ Von Art, will be taking over the pop-up shop space, featuring a limited edition custom-designed Sanderson x Frieze T-shirt. Maison Twenty is an art led clothing label, set up to embrace Hodson’s passion for merging the worlds of fine art and fashion, taking high concept art to the public.

As the Frieze take over continues, Sanderson is offering an exclusively designed Frieze cocktail. Bursting with fresh blackberry lemongrass and elderflower, this citrus vodka based cocktail will be available for the four days of the fair. For the intrepid Frieze London explorer, bring a friend and your wristbands to the bar for a complimentary tray of canapés, when you buy two cocktails.
