A Joke Too Far: Stand Up For Burma - Amnesty International Comedy Night

The Islington and Hackney Amnesty comedy night is back for the sixth year running for an evening of laughs, fun and good times.

All proceeds go to Amnesty International to help them fight human rights injustices in Burma and the rest of the world.

The comedy night was originally organised in response to a crackdown by the Burmese military regime on freedom of speech in general and comedians in particular. Hundreds of stand-up comedians in the country were rounded up and imprisoned, many have been tortured.

So come and join us to have a laugh and raise funds for Amnesty International at the same time.
