The Bach Choir and its musical director David Hill celebrate the late Sir John Tavener – one of the most popular composers of his generation – with three of his best-loved works and the UK premiere of Oh where, tell me where? in what would have been his 70th birthday year. Joined by the Philharmonia Orchestra for this one-off celebration of his life and work, the evening features highlights from his much-loved portfolio, including Song for Athene, most famously sung at the funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales. Soloists include soprano Elin Manahan Thomas, tenor James Oxley and cellist Raphael Wallfisch.
