Gaining critical acclaim from MOJO as “Canterbury’s dazzling new sons”, the four-piece hark back to the great British rock bands of the 60s, whilst progressively expanding the limits of their music with flashes of jazz, funk and folk.

Singer songwriter Tess Parks will be joining Syd Arthur on the night. Hailing from Toronto, Canada, her songs loom with hypnotic edgy progressions that echo her weaving geographical history.

To round off the evening of quality live music and genre defining photography, the official Oasis tour DJ Phil Smith will be playing an eclectic array of records to ensure that the vibe never drops.

The music follows the private view of Assassinated Beauty, an exhibition of Manic Street Preachers by seminal music photographer Kevin Cummins. Cummins has been responsible for some of the most memorable NME covers ever, and his images of Joy Division, Morrissey, and indeed Manic Street Preachers are as integral to the bands history as their music is. Manic Street Preachers are one of the most iconoclastic bands of the late twentieth century and their androgynous identity is stark and exciting in the collection on display at Proud Camden on Thursday 6th November. Come and bask in some of the best sonic troubadours on offer today, tomorrow, and yesteryear.
