THE GREAT WAR an evening of readings

Timothy Adès will be reading from his own work published in Agenda magazine and other poems in translation about The Great War.

Judith Allnatt will be reading from her latest novel The Moon Field (Harper Collins 2014) a poignant story of love and redemption, exploring the impact and aftermath of the First World War on those who fought, and those left behind.

Pete Ayrton will be reading from No Man’s Land, an international anthology of First World War fiction.

Catherine Hall will be reading from The Repercussions (Alma 2014) which explores the Brighton Pavilion’s use as a hospital for Indian soldiers during World War One and the psychological and emotional reality of war, as well as encompassing race, guilt, love and loss.

Nicholas Murray will be reading from Trench Feet, his satirical poem on the centenary of the outbreak of War in 1914. Murray also runs a small poetry imprint, Rack Press.
