A new monthly lunchtime wash up of poetry and spoken word - expect madness, soft soap and a lot more besides! Not since the 1970s when the Barrow Poets used to gather at the Christopher Wren pub in Paternoster Square has there been an event to help you wash away those Monday blues. Featuring an all-star-line up every month. For our first event, we bring you:
Jazzman John Clarke - sex, drugs and rock 'n roll
Claire Booker - poetry for the urban soul
And our star attraction... John Hegley - genius wit.
Handing out the towels - wordsmith Isabel White
Bring your own loofah!
