The Wine Gang brings its fantastic Christmas Wine Fair to London for the 5th year, returning to our favourite venue, Vinopolis, right next door to Borough Market. This is the must do wine festival of the year. There’s a choice of 600 very high quality wines available to taste included in your ticket price, free ‘wine walks’ with the Gang around our favourite wines, free pop-up mini-masterclasses and there are some delicious nibbles and small plates of food to sustain you. The Fair is open from 12 noon until 6pm, admission and re-admission by ticket only.

Masterclasses
Our optional programme of masterclasses is where things get more serious: four extraordinary, sit-down tutored tastings of some of the world’s finest and rarest wines. Similar fine wine tasting sell elsewhere for a lot more: this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to taste these wines.

12.15-13.05 The Champagnes of Charles Heidsieck.
The Champagne lover’s Champagne house, Charles Heidsieck produces extraordinary wines, from their Brut Réserve (widely regarded as one of the best non-vintage Champagnes) to the newly released Brut Millésime 2005, and the legendary deluxe cuvée, Blanc des Millénaires. Taste them all, and learn about the immense skill that goes into producing these wines.

13.45-14.35 The Wines of Alvaro Palacios.
After two years at Château Pétrus, Alvaro Palacios set up on his own in Priorat, Spain in 1989. From the beginning his mission was to produce world-class wines from low-yielding, ancient vines. Of course flagship wine 'L'Ermita', which sells for £600 per bottle, gets a lot of attention, but the quality is astonishing across this portfolio. Some of Europe's finest wines.

15.15-16.05 Penfolds, icon wines including Grange.
Penfolds of needs little introduction, and this mouth-watering tutored tasting concentrates on that most iconic of icon wines, Grange. As well as tasting multiple vintages, there will be a chance to taste other rare and expensive wines from the top of this portfolio, including their flagship white wine, Yattarna, and Bin 389, often referred to as the 'baby Grange'.

16.45-17.35 Armit's Sexy Italians from Piedmont and Tuscany.
When we say 'sexy', we really do mean 'sexy': this is a chance to be tutored by Antonio Rose of The Wine Gang through an astonishing line-up of Italy's very top wines including Super Tuscans Ornellaia and Sassicaia, Chianti Classico's elite Querciabella, and from Piedmont, both Angelo Gaja and Giacomo Fenocchio. Do not miss this one!
