Got an innovative idea and think you can turn it into a real project? Then come and take part in an evening full of inspiring talks, exciting pitches and live music, with the chance to win money raised from that night. In short, crowd-funding in real time.

Set up by a collective of Goldsmiths College students, the New Cross Creative Lab is an event to encourage young creatives to share their ideas on innovation and entrepreneurship and provoke the public to think and talk.

For £3, participants will get to taste a selection of delicious home-made pastries, be inspired by successful entrepreneurs, discuss their own project and decide which idea deserves most to be made “dream-come-true”.

Guest talks will feature Meg Peterson of the London-based cultural regeneration project 21 Artists, Adele Kirby, founder of audio fitness adventure project Imaginactive Fitness, and Paul Hutson, co-founder of the award-winning education platform / app Night Zookeeper. The vote will be followed by a fabulous Deptford-based Daniel Cherney, a talented DJ as well as member of indie rock band The Immigrants.

To pitch your idea, drop a short e-mail to [email protected]. Then invite your friends on Facebook event, and tweet and share photos under hashtag#newXlab.

The event is a part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week (17 – 23 Nov 2014).
