This winter, the Deep South is coming to the heart of East London by way of the Closing Night at The Caledonia Club, an evening of live jazz, smoky blues, authentic Cajun cuisine, clandestine absinthe bars and Creole voodoo. From the team behind Oval Space and Look Left Look Right Theatre comes a unique collaboration; a fully immersive Southern Hospitality experience, transporting guests from present day London to December 1950, New Orleans where the heat and pageantry of the historic Caledonia Club lives on.
The Caledonia Club brings a taste of classic Creole cooking and Deep South soul food to The Pickle Factory. Guests will be able to indulge in Traditional Crawfish Boil, Chicken and Smoked Sausage Jambayala and Chargrilled Oysters. All produce is sustainably sourced and organic where possible.
Cocktails and champagne will be served upon arrival and Grasshopper shots and other chasers will be available to wash it all down. Strike up a conversation with the barman and guests may find themselves whisked off behind closed doors to a secret backroom bar…
As with the food offering, the live soundtrack for the night harks back to a bygone era of dirty blues and soul. Expect the sights and smells of New Orleans in this authentic re-telling of the closing night of the real-life Caledonia Club. The infamous Professor Longhair – widely regarded as one of the true pioneers of jazz – will be making an appearance alongside Lady Emine and a live jazz band.
Ticket includes all entertainment, welcome drinks and food, including: Crawfish Boil, Jambalaya, and BBQ Oysters.
