a crowdversation® on connecting generations for jobs of the future

You are invited to join a crowdversation and be part of an open debate on youth employment and active ageing. This will be the first crowdversation® on future jobs and ageing, where young people, including recent graduates, and older people can mix with social entrepreneurs and industry professionals from the worlds of education, business, innovation and policy research to discuss challenges and find alternative solutions. 

The event will be begin with an introductory video on Big Bang Lab, followed by a screening of Dustin Hoffman’s directorial debut Quartet (2012), which touches on the themes of active ageing and creative collaboration, before the audience participate in the crowdversation®, an interactive Q&A session, which will be filmed.

The UK is faced with both a youth unemployment crisis and an ageing population. Additionally, small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs), which account for 99.9% of all business in the UK, are reluctant to recruit young people or recent graduates. In this fragmented ecosystem of job creation and age gaps, where do we start to connect the dots?

As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week (17-23 Nov), leading cultural-social enterprise, Big Bang Lab, presents a unique opportunity for young and older people alike to spark the debate in an inclusive, open, and non-judgemental environment.
