Well, our last event of the year and our first full year of Acoustic Sundays for a while. We want to leave 2014 in a scrumptious Sunday of obscene joviality, mulled wine and feet jigging music but with the comfort of your double winter duvet!

Our line up to keep the cold away:

Ben Murphie - Americana folk/blues by way of North London. Fingerpicked guitar and banjo melodies hammered out against country harmonies and stomping drums to make a sound rougher than bootleg whiskey and smoother than summer rain. Influences include Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Jack White, The Band.

Our Man In The Field- Our Man in The Field writes musical snapshots from the lives he's observed or the life he's lead. Influences include the open spaces of the North East Coast and the raw energy overflowing into London's sky line, and all the people in between.

The Happy Places - The Happy Places began in when singer and guitarist Stuey Goodeve got together with guitarist and cajon player Oli Tong at first to simply bring Stuey's compositions to life. However it quickly developed into much more than that and they have been making a name for themselves in and around Southampton as a diverse and entertaining and unique live experience.Oncer Duncan Mortimer joined on the fiddle, the final line up was born and they were ready to take everyone to their Happy Places!

Ringlefinch - Ringlefinch are a London based alternative folk band with an eye for mischief, an ear for an earworm, and a beat for your feet! Their unique sound blends the strong melodies and storytelling of folk music, the toe-tapping rhythms of swing and jazz manouche, and dark-humoured, wittily introspective lyrics to create rabble-rousing songs with moments of genuine tenderness.

Louise Jordan - Fusing award winning acoustic song writing with classical influences and a folk sensibility, Louise Jordan accompanies herself on piano and guitar to play original works and musical settings of literature as well as her own unique arrangements of traditional material.

Robbie Skitmore & the Spanish Harlem Incident - Robbie Skitmore begins his early music career in Ottawa, Canada. In 2007, Robbie Skitmore decides to continue his musical journey in the UK, settling in Brighton where he meets Colombian drummer & percussionist Sebastian Laverde, singer/songwriter & pianist Nick Askew, guitarist Billy Law, and bass player Laurie Olphin. Combining all of his folk, jazz and rock & roll songwriting influences, the act has now grown into a full band.

CRAFT FAIR: In December for all you lot who like to shower gifts on your loved ones to make up for the lack of snow (though you never know, we have our fingers crossed for a white christmas!), we will have a craft fair with goods ranging from hand knitted baby bonnets to a stall that is basically a cat crack den (catnip delights for your furry friend). There will also be demonstrations of weaving and glass cutting (ooOOOooooo).

FOOD: 2 Fingers will be back once again, with a delightfully stomach warming dessert, good ol' apple crumble. There may even be some wintery twists to the other food, we shall have to wait and see. Oh yes, but for those who haven't been before 2 fingers bring you the Ultimate in Fish Finger sandwiches, taking that old classic, spinning it around like a hyper 3 year old on a roundabout and creating most definitely the best fish finger sandwich you will ever eat. 2 fingers of sustainably caught cod, crunchy salad and home made tartare sauce (in between white bloomer bread, obvs, otherwise it wouldn't be a sandwich and then what would Lord Sandwich think...ALL HAIL LORD SANDWICH). There is also potato and sweet potato fries, bean burgers and various other fish finger twists. Our mouths are already watering.....

So, yes, do please come and join us, if you have made it to here with all the metaphors and adjectives of this event write up, we will be most impressed.

Oh and get festive, dig out that reindeer jumper, snowflake earrings...sledge. See you in December!!
